At Veteran Women of Influence, we are dedicated to empowering female veterans by providing comprehensive support tailored to their unique needs. Our mission is to offer transitional housing, career guidance, and wellness services, enabling these courageous women to rebuild their lives and achieve lasting success.
Our Mission
We strive to create a nurturing environment where female veterans can acquire essential skills and confidence. Our program emphasizes personal growth and self-reliance, facilitating the transformation from homelessness to a future filled with promise. We believe that cultivating self-esteem is most effective in a home-like setting, rather than a shelter or institution.
Our Services
Located in the Central West End of St. Louis, our main facility accommodates up to five women at a time, providing a safe and supportive space. We offer a two-year transitional housing program complemented by a ten-year mentorship follow-through, ensuring long-term support. Our services include counseling, mentoring, career coaching, and assistance with accessing government benefits and financial resources.
The Need
Currently, nearly 5,000 female veterans are homeless across the United States, with approximately 200 residing in the St. Louis metropolitan area. These women face challenges in securing food, employment, and shelter. Our organization was founded to address this pressing issue and provide the necessary support to help them regain stability and independence.
Get Involved
We invite you to join us in making a difference. Whether through volunteering, donating, or spreading awareness, your support is invaluable. Together, we can honor the service of our female veterans by empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.
